SportsAid has announced a new partnership with energy company SSE which is to support at least 50 athletes a year over the next four years, as part of SSE's Next Generation programme, including funding, mentoring and access to state-of-the-art facilities.

Mentor and SSE ambassador for the programme Sir Sir Chris Hoy commented 'I'm really looking forward to mentoring the athletes. It is crucial for each home nation to unite and show their support for aspiring young athletes. I know from personal experience how important that support can be'.
